A study of Andrew Carnegie and how he pioneered the making of American bridges. Projects include an overview for quality, safety, and planning before sketching, measuring and creating our own bridges from foundation to the suspension. We study different bridge designs: beam, cantilever, truss and arch. Classes tackle the difficulties builders face from land bridges to water bridges.
All Young Art & Architects classes include elements of STEAM education and practical design. This class is created to bring out the inner mathematician, artist, scientist, and thinker through new art and design projects each semester.
